Language and Culture Courses

GLC provides language instruction and intercultural competence training to a wide variety of customers, including our nation’s foreign service professionals at the U.S. Department of State and staff at other government agencies. We also accept open enrollment for private students interested in one-on-one or group classes. We are happy to customize a language and/or cultural training program specifically for your needs, whether you want to learn a new language or refresh your existing knowledge.

Learn on your own time with our experienced and professional instructors to achieve your goals. Our instructors will facilitate your learning with customized content and provide constructive feedback to mentor you in improving your language and cultural knowledge. GLC leverages the most current technology to support language instruction, including mobile apps, virtual tools, and AI.

GLC offers unique course curricula in Chinese (Mandarin), Farsi, French, Georgian, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, and Urdu that have been specially designed by top language instructors with significant experience teaching adult learners from the U.S. diplomatic community. These courses can help students from all backgrounds learn the target language and culture for personal and/or professional applications. GLC can also arrange for custom instruction in any of the 70+ languages we offer.

Cultural Themed Events

GLC facilitates unique cultural training opportunities, such as visits to a local restaurant, music festival, museum, local farmers market, movie showing, or meet and greets with fellow students. Activities allow students to be immersed in their target language and culture.

Course Packages and Pricing

The below packages and rates reflect 90-minute classes taught once per week in an online (synchronous virtual) format. Start dates and times of day will be arranged based on student needs and instructor availability. For other types of packages, please contact GLC directly for a custom proposal.

Curriculum Development, Digital Media Editing, and Evaluation

GLC offers 360° design services for curriculum development, digital media editing, and evaluation in the field of language and cultural learning. We have decades of experience and over 240 instructors, curriculum developers, testers, digital media editors, distance learning mentors, and/or management staff to help achieve your goals.

We use the most current technology to support projects, including mobile apps, virtual tools, and AI.
