Purpose of the App
What is the primary purpose of the GLC App? (e.g., language proficiency awareness, assessment facilitation)
The primary purpose of the GLC app is to serve as a free entry point for prospective clients/students. The app will facilitate language proficiency awareness and assessment by offering a free self-assessment test, displaying results mapped to GLC course levels, and then helping users connect with GLC via built-in contact forms.
The self-assessment tool is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is intended to provide an estimation of the user’s language proficiency level (based on the answers provided by the user) for the purposes of course placement and regular progress evaluation.
Are results from the self-assessment tool indicative only, or should they be considered professionally reliable?
Results of the self-assessment tool are indicative only and are NOT a substitute for a formal language proficiency assessment conducted by a qualified tester. Results are not intended to be taken as professional advice.
Does the app issue any official certificates, reports, or endorsements?
No. The app only provides a self-assessment result to the user based on the answers they provide during the test screens.

Is there a minimum age requirement (e.g., 18+)?
Yes. 18+
Do users need to create an account, or can some features be used anonymously?
No. Users do not need to create an account to use the large majority of the app’s features. Users do have the option of creating an account if they want to save their self-assessment results and/or if they want to start an assessment, stop in the middle, and come back later to finish.

Are language assessments: Fully automated, Human-reviewed, or Mixed?
Fully automated (indicative self-assessment tool).
Should GLC disclaim liability if users rely on results for employment, promotion, or official decisions?
Yes, we think this would be wise.
Acceptable Use & Termination
What actions are considered misuse of the app?
- Using the app to pretend to be someone else, including: completing assessments while posing as another individual; sharing results or reports as if they belong to someone else to mislead third parties.
- Using the app's outputs as the sole basis for high-stakes legal or employment decisions without engaging a formal language proficiency tester to perform a formal assessment.
- Attempts to use automated bots to generate profiles or bypass security features to alter results.
Can GLC suspend or terminate access for providing false information or abusing services?

Does GLC reserve the right to update or discontinue features at any time?
